Celebrate National Black Business Month

August is National Black Business Month, where we recognize and support black-owned businesses within our community, and across the country.

There are over 2.5 million black-owned businesses, generating around $150 billion in revenue in the United States.1 Unfortunately, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, over 40% have been forced to close their doors permanently.

Sandia Area is a proud member of the African American Greater Albuquerque Chamber of Commerce (AAGACC). The AAGACC strives to promote economic growth of black-owned businesses through education, advocacy, membership, and networking.
